Jackie
Ramo has worked in a variety of artistic media, including
horticulture, painting and pottery. After several courses
with master potters and years of experimentation, she
has refined her craft and honed her own self-taught technique.
Her recent works include the dual aspects of ceramicist
and painter.
Born and raised in Toronto, Ms. Ramo takes her inspiration
from the natural world. Her watercolours depict native
gardens, water features and cavorting wildlife.
Currently working predominately in clay, her work focuses
on representational and abstract forms, bringing new visions
to old themes. Jackie’s hand-crafted art tiles express
a richness of style and colour, each possessing a unique
character.
