This
is the garden when we moved into the house in 2000. The
good points are the size of the yard, the greenhouse not
shown, the arbour and fruit trees. The bad points were
the weeds had been allowed to take over the perennial
beds crushing whatever plants had been there.

the same shot taken in June of 2001, about 14 months later.
The garden beds had been expanded and filled significantly,
some statuary, enhancements have been added. |

The Pond 2001 |

| Jungle-like
through it may appear in this shot, the garden is becoming quite
well organized. The beds are filling in and the weeds are under
control in most of the beds. Off to the left of the picture,
out of sight, is the heart of the garden, the pond. |

The
heart of the garden and the inspiration for my art is the pond.
Construction started two days after closing and a month before
we moved in. The fish you see, had to be moved from the last
house. |
